tonight at mac's 1820 coventry 7pm
The way it grows barely
The only way the asphodel grows
is the way a woman saunters off
a shower when heat is better than towels
makes a man hunger when the grill marks
scald heat on a perfectly ripe sirloin
the squirrel maketh his leap down
from on a higher branch to still watch
the calendar flips at wind’s fancy
near the window facing wisteria
just there a rainbow made by the hose
you hold
just barely there
(...i will read poems and proses but not this)
